Jamie Durie needs little introduction. Landscape designer, television presenter, author and sustainability advocate, his work spans decades and continents with a creative philosophy rooted in the relationship between people, design and the natural world. For a brand of that calibre, the website needed to match.

When Jamie’s team reached out, the site wasn’t reflecting the standard of the work behind it. The design felt dated, the typography wasn’t doing the brand any favours, and the lack of ecommerce functionality meant the site was essentially a passive presence: beautiful in concept but underperforming in practice. The brief was clear: reassess everything and bring it up to speed, fast.

Working directly alongside the team, I approached the refresh the way I approach every project: strategy first, aesthetics second. That meant understanding what the site needed to do, who it needed to speak to, and where the gaps were before touching a single design element. From there, the solution came together quickly.
In one day, jamiedurie.com was overhauled from the ground up. Typography, layout and responsive design rebuilt across four pages, with full ecommerce functionality and a payment gateway integrated so the site could work as a genuine business tool, not just a portfolio.
